I have a great idea for you: go buy GoDaddy.com. You already have excellent customer service resources from your e-commerce arm and you have the web infrastructure to take on the DNS management, domain, and hosting services offered by GoDaddy.com. You can take them from mediocre to awesome.

Why now? Imagine all those parked GoDaddy domains filled with literally millions of relevant Amazon advertisements and keywords! Can you say keyword and page rank nirvana? You don’t even need to show me ridiculously risqué commercials - I’ll sign up in a flash and I already trust you with so much anyway.

Need a few more reasons? You have international companies already setup and can offer local presence services for international domains. You can run Mechanical Turk to keep the most updated WHOIS database in the world. You can completely dominate the domain space in a single acquisition.
